Sri Santi Ashramam, via Sankhavaram Village, East Godavari District, India.
In 2002 Eco Foundation took up the task of supporting some activities at Sri Santi Ashram located in the small village Sankhavaram in East Godavary district, A. P. India.
Sri Santhi Ashramam was founded by Sri Swami Omkar in 1917 with the aim to promote peace among nations. Pujya Jnaneswari Mataji is the current spiritual head.
The Ashramam has many-faceted activities, including (a) Feeding the poor, (b) Operating a journal to promote peace, (c) Children’s welfare, (d) Old-age welfare, and (e) Library among others.
Eco Foundation is supporting the following activities at the Ashram:
- Planting trees on the grounds of this ashram (Eco Foundation’s primary mission)
- Supporting free food distribution for the needy
- Supporting the publication of a Peace magazine to propagate the message of peace and universal brotherhood.
